According to exclusive reports from Variety, Anne Hathaway is adapting the movie version of George Brant's famous play 'Stranding'. This Oscar winning actress will star in and produce this movie. In 2015, she appeared in a solo play directed by Julie Taymor at the New York Public Theatre. At that time, Hathaway was so passionate about these materials that she secured the film rights before her first performance. Stranding tells the story of a conflicted US Air Force pilot operating an unmanned aerial vehicle. Brent is adapting the script into a movie. This stage play earned Hathaway a nomination for the Critics Circle Award. Hathaway is collaborating with Susan B. Mayer and Ben Faulkner from Entertainment 360 to produce 'The Earth'; And Sidney Canmore Entertainment, which provided funding for this movie. The production president of the company, Kara Haken, had previously collaborated with Hathaway on 20th Century Fox's "The Devil Wears Prada," "Bride's War," and "Love and Other Drugs. 'Down to Earth' received critical acclaim outside of Broadway.
